Miami Cop Puts Gun to Head of Eyewitness of Fatal Shooting for Recording Incident

“When he noticed me recording, one of the officers jumped in the truck, put a pistol to my head.  My phone was smashed – he stepped on it, handcuffed me.”

Watch the video above … this is not an isolated incident.  Cops across the country are using their weapons to intimidate citizens who catch unlawful or at least questionable acts by police.  I often defend policemen because they have a very difficult job and the vast majority of them (besides being union) are good guys with good intentions.  These guys and gals are your neighbors and it’s incredibly stressful working environment.  But THIS kind of thing is absolute bullshit.  Watch the video … the police run after them on foot once they realize they have been recorded and their FIRST reaction after just shooting some other guy dead is to pull a gun on these two young people.

They then smashed all the phones to destroy the evidence; the only reason we have the evidence above is because the eyewitness - Narces Benoit – was smart enough to take the memory card out of his phone and slip it in his mouth before they destroyed the phone.  For me … watching this kind of thing – it is simply not enough to just put these police on suspension.  It’s not enough to fire them.  I want these guys in federal “fuck me in the ass” prison for this.  There is a sliding scale for bad decisions … and sometimes you have to give police the benefit of the doubt but not for this.  Any police officer that abuses their position of authority like this – should be thrown in jail with the rest of the lifers.  If they’re going to put guns in the faces of innocent bystanders – I want them to fear for their life too.  This is not an isolated incident.

An eyewitness to a fatal police shooting in Miami Beach last week claims police officers attempted to confiscate the video he filmed of the incident, and even crushed his phone underfoot in an attempt to destroy the recording.

Narces Benoit says he just happened to be in the area driving with his girlfriend when police fatally shot an erratic driver early Memorial Day morning.

He said after the disturbance started, he pulled over his truck, and started recording with his cell phone camera capturing the shooting.

“They handled us like we were criminals,” she said. “The officer came over to the driver’s side, on my left, and just put the gun to my head.”
