Arpaio: Court’s SB1070 ruling “affirmed our program”
Odds of this portion of the bill ending up in court again: Very high. Likelihood that Joe Arpaio is wrong about something: Absolute.
OOOH I think there’s the limitation that a person can only be held up/stopped/ for the amount of time they would’ve been for their original crime. Like say they have to be stopped for 15 minutes regarding a broken taillight. Checking a person’s citizenship takes up to a few hours so I think that’s where everything gets hazy. I am really interested in seeing where this goes.
